WHO KILLED TUPAC? 30 YEARS LATER, A JURY GETS THE CASE
For diehard 2Pac fans, we’ve been asking the same question since 1996:
Who killed Tupac Shakur?
Pac was shot in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996 and died six days later. He was only 25 years old.
We got older. Pac stayed 25.
His music grew with us. “Dear Mama” reminded us about family. “Keep Ya Head Up” gave us strength. “Changes” still sounds like America today. All Eyez on Me became hip-hop history.
But while Pac’s music lived on, his murder remained unsolved.
For decades we got theories, documentaries, interviews and street stories—but no trial.
That changed after Duane “Keffe D” Davis publicly discussed his alleged knowledge of the night Pac was killed. Las Vegas police arrested Davis in September 2023. He pleaded not guilty.
Now, nearly 30 years later, a jury is finally hearing the case.
DA FRONT PORCH TAKE:
This trial can’t give us the albums Pac never recorded, the movies he never made or the man he would’ve become.
But hip-hop may finally get something it has waited three decades for:
Answers.
Now a jury must separate the legend, street stories and 30 years of rumors from what prosecutors can actually prove.
For everybody who never stopped playing Pac…
ALL EYEZ ARE ON THE COURTROOM. 🌹
