A MOUSE WILL DISRUPT YOUR DAY 🐭

You can have your whole day planned out perfectly… then see one little mouse run across the floor and BOOM—schedule canceled.

Now you’re not answering emails. You’re not cooking. You’re not watching TV. You’re sitting completely still, staring at the exact spot where that little criminal disappeared.

And mice have AUDACITY.

That mouse pays no rent, bought no groceries, and somehow has you questioning whether YOU should move out. 😂

Suddenly every tiny sound is suspicious. A bag moves? Mouse. Something scratches? Mouse. Your own foot touches the blanket? You almost call 911.

Then comes the investigation: Where did it come from? How did it get in? Is it alone? Because seeing one mouse immediately makes you imagine a whole mouse family reunion happening behind the refrigerator.

And sleep? Forget it. That mouse could be downstairs, but your brain has already convinced you it knows how to climb stairs, open doors and possibly operate elevators.

A mouse may weigh less than an ounce, but the disruption weighs about 300 pounds.

80 Years of Music, Love & Legacy

Dolly Parton was a Country Queen, but the love for Dolly never stopped at the country-music line.

Born into poverty in the Tennessee mountains, Dolly turned a guitar, a pen and a dream into an empire. She gave the world classics like “Jolene,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You,” helped build Dollywood into a major attraction that brought jobs and opportunity back home, and used her success to give millions of books to children.

And Black America shared a special piece of her story.

Dolly wrote “I Will Always Love You.” Whitney Houston took it to church. Whitney’s 1992 version became one of the greatest vocal performances ever recorded, and Dolly spent the rest of her life giving Whitney her flowers.

Her music crossed into hip-hop and R&B too. Pras, Mýa & Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Ghetto Supastar” reworked the melody heard in Dolly and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream.” Queen Latifah shared the big screen with Dolly in Joyful Noise, while Beyoncé brought “Jolene” into a new generation on Cowboy Carter.

Dolly also publicly stood with Black Americans during the Black Lives Matter movement, famously asking, “Do we think our little white asses are the only ones that matter? No!”

Today isn’t just about what Dolly recorded. It’s about what she left behind.

A songwriter. An actress. A businesswoman. A philanthropist. A woman from the mountains who never forgot where she came from—and whose music somehow found its way from Tennessee to the Black church, R&B, hip-hop and homes around the world.

Country had the Queen. But Dolly belonged to everybody.

But seriously—can you kiss your own elbow?

For most people, the answer is NO. Your elbow sits in one of those awkward spots that your mouth simply can’t reach because of the way your shoulder, upper arm and neck move. Unless you have some extraordinary flexibility, that elbow is officially in the NO-KISS ZONE.

But here’s the funny part: somebody is reading this right now thinking, “Watch me.” 😂

PLEASE DON’T BE THE ONE TO MAKE US LOOK BAD 😭👓

All I wanted was ONE tiny screw put in my glasses. If you know me, you know these glasses are basically glued to my nose.

Three customers. One receptionist. Should’ve been quick.

Then came that moment every Black person knows: “Please don’t be the one to make us look bad.” 😂

This man turned picking up contact lenses into a 15-minute debate. First, why does he have to pay in advance? Then 14 minutes arguing about why they needed the last four of his Social Security number.

No insurance card. Never set up the online account. Didn’t want to call the insurance company. No work badge or ID.

His defense? “I HAVE A JOB! That should prove I’m me!”

Sir…HOW?! 😂😂😂

Meanwhile, me and another lady are just sitting there like 👁️👁️ because he wouldn’t even move aside so we could handle our business while he figured his out.

I came in for a screw.
Somehow, I ended up at a town hall meeting.

Make it make sense. 😂

Born April 1, 2001, Sklouchere Pierre may be an April Fool’s baby, but there’s nothing foolish about her journey. And forget fool’s gold—this Haitian queen is golden by every measure.

Real gold doesn’t rush. It doesn’t lose its value because the road gets difficult. It survives pressure, keeps its brilliance and becomes even more valuable with time. That sounds a lot like Sklouchere.

A proud Haitian-American, Sklouchere has built a résumé that moves from the classroom to community service, professional dance floors and international pageant stages. She became the first Haitian-American captain of Florida Memorial University’s Lion Essence Dance Team, later danced professionally with the Miami HEAT, and has worked as a marketing consultant and social-media manager. Did everybody born in the 80’s swim & drink in the fountain of youth?🤣
Something ain’t adding up.

People born in the ’80s are in their late 30s and 40s, but some of y’all are walking around looking a whole 10–15 years younger. What exactly happened?!

Was it the Capri Suns? Hose water? Saturday morning cartoons? Riding bikes until the streetlights came on? Maybe growing up before social media stress unlocked a secret anti-aging cheat code. 😂

And ’80s babies are a different breed because we lived before the internet, grew up WITH the internet, and now run around like we invented the internet. 😂

We went from encyclopedias to Google. Mixtapes to playlists. Pay phones to FaceTime. Blockbuster to streaming. Handwritten notes to DMs. We remember when being “online” meant somebody couldn’t use the house phone—and now we’re talking to AI from a phone in our pocket.

Analog childhood. Digital adulthood. We got the best of BOTH worlds.

A few gray hairs might be sneaking in, the knees occasionally send warning notifications, and we might need better lighting to read that menu—but somehow the FACE still says 28!

At this point, somebody needs to investigate the Fountain of Youth.

Because apparently ’80s babies drank from it, swam in it, then filled a Super Soaker with the leftovers. 😂

PENN STATE GOT A COCAINE STORY — SO WHERE’S THE MEDIA NOISE? 👀

Hold up… because if this was happening in the hood, somebody would already have a documentary, a task force and dramatic music playing behind the news report.

Pennsylvania authorities charged 14 people in an alleged cocaine-trafficking operation connected to Penn State students and the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternity houses. Prosecutors say cocaine was coming from New York and Philly, getting cut and packaged around fraternity houses, then sold mainly to students. Some fraternity pledges were allegedly pulled into helping package it.

And the plot gets deeper.

One alleged supplier, Thomas Robinson, was charged — and his father, Pittsburgh attorney Paul Robinson, was also charged with allegedly tampering with evidence and hindering the investigation.

Everybody charged deserves due process. But here’s the conversation:

Penn State is one of the most recognizable, predominantly white universities in America. So imagine this same alleged operation connected to an HBCU or a Black neighborhood.

Would we hear “college students who made mistakes”… or would we hear DRUG RING, GANG ACTIVITY and CRIME EPIDEMIC on repeat?

Because when cocaine hits certain communities, America calls it a war on drugs. When allegations involve fraternity houses and college campuses, somehow the volume feels different.

Same powder. Same streets supplying it. Same laws. Keep that same media energy no matter what neighborhood, fraternity, university or complexion is involved.

That ain’t hate. That’s asking why the microphone gets louder depending on who’s standing in front of it.
