Sydney: Modeling Motivation

1.What is your name and where are you from?

My name is Sydney Lynn & I am from Compton, California.

2. How did you get into modeling?

Modeling has always been of dream of mine. I was about 7 I think when "Americas Next Top Model" aired & I saw the models walk & audition .. it was all over from there. I was fiercely walking everywhere ! I told my mom everyday "I need to be on this show!" plus I have a older cousin who models who is more like a big sister who I always looked up to & seeing her in prints, I couldn't help but to want to be like her. I probably talked my moms ear off about modeling. My mom quickly hired me a manager & there I was training for my career.

3. What has been the highlight of your modeling career so far this year?

The highlight of my career so far this year has been modeling in NYFW16 (New York Fashion Week '16).

4. What makes you a hustler?

I eat, sleep, breathe, walk & talk modeling. For me it doesn't stop, I'm constantly thinking of ideas and forcing them into my craft so I can be number one. I fight all odds. My grandfather taught me that "If you don't work, you don't eat" ... I'm definitely eating so you already know what that means!

5. What are two things you do to keep your mind and body prepared for modeling assignments?

I dance while listening to music & drink tons of cranberry juice ... I love to dance & music makes you move ... You can't listen to "Diva" by Beyoncé & not want to strut ... I call it modeling motivation.

8. What is one thing you would like to accomplish this year?

This year I would like to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated ! I'm ready to conquer that.

9. What words of advice do you have for anyone has the talent but is scared of what the world will think of their original creativity?
Follow your dreams , think positive ... Creativity is always best ! Being unique is normal & it gets you noticed, being like everyone else is whack ! Thinking inside the box will get you nowhere. Be you, always!
