1. What is your name?My actual government name is Annick. My stage name is Simply Annick. Fun Fact my family and childhood friends call me Nicky. My “industry” friends call me Simply.
2. Can you tell us about where you are from?
Born and raised in Miami, FL by two Haitian parents. I was born at Baptist Hospital in Kendall. I’m from the part of Miami we like to call “Down South”.
3. What is your role in the entertainment business?My role in the industry… to be honest it changes and grows daily. As I learn more about myself, and about the industry I add more to my resume. I am known as journalist and publicist. But I can say the role I play that I believe will never change is bridging the gap between the entertainers and the people.
4. Why did you decide to do this and how is it going for you?I always loved and catered to the underground world. I felt like more people should know about all this raw talent Miami has to give and show. So it’s always been my goal to shine that light on my peers, and help and motivate them to keep telling their stories through their unique art rather it is music, art, fashion or whatever. I believe is going good, somedays are more challenging than others but I see the growth I’ve made in the past three years since I’ve launched my brand and the love I receive daily from different people.

6. Based on your experience, what advise do you have for up and coming artists and entertainers?
Based on my experiences, my biggest piece of advice would be number one PRAY, and to always stay true to you, remember why you started. Remember that not everyone is meant to understand YOUR dreams right away, from your parents to your best friends. It’s YOUR dream for a reason. BONUS tip would also be to never let anyone box you in. You can do whatever it is your heart desires.
7. What is a week in your life like?
LOL’n in real life because I’m goofy AF…Listening to music all day every day, replying and sending emails… lots and lots of emails, covering different events sometimes more than one a day, plotting, creating, doing last minute homework and babysitting… LMAO
8. What do you want to see changed in your community?
Gun violence. From the youth to the adults. It has to stop. We have to teach the youth how to communicate using their words, how to express themselves in other ways that do not involve violence. Things are out of control. We're losing are future to careless acts.
9. What is a hustler?
A hustler is one that works hard for what they want and deserve. A hustler is one that lets their actions speak louder than their words. A hustle is going to get it by any means necessary. Regardless of how much sleep you got the night before, or how much money you have in your pockets a hustler is going to make it happen.
