What is your name and where are you from? My name is Samaya. I was born in India and I grew up in India, Southeast Asia and the US. 

How would you describe your music? Eclectic, electronic? :) It's heavily influenced by Indian Classical, jazz, hip hop, and RnB.

Where does your inspiration to create music come from? It's a compulsion, really. The best way for me to work through emotions is to create music with it.

What is one of your goals for 2016? Perform more live shows!

What personal accomplishments do you want to share with us? When I was a teenager, I told myself I could never finish writing a song. That didn't change until I told myself one day to just try to finish one song. I've written over 18 songs since. 

What is a hustler? One of the best things ever. :) Someone who stays on top of opportunities and gets things done!

What do you want to see changed in your community? More compassion, and more freedom for people to be themselves as long as they don't intend to cause harm to others.
