LeXXah Drew

Yo, its LeXXah Drew baby, still drawing my masterpieces in the ever so trending & lively ATL. The business is the usual, on the  music  and  the  visual  art.  But  this  time  around  I’ve  elevated  my  game,  so  I   hope  you’re  ready  for  the  ride.

So, this is the follow up interview since the One on One Interview in 2011. How has everything been rolling since our last meeting?

Let me first start out by saying that I’ve  been Blessed. God has really been proving himself over and over again. A lot of life changing scenarios have taken place this year and I have been able to keep a leveled head and stay the course. So, its been challenging since  our  last  meeting.  With  all  that’s  been  going  on   though,  I’ve still been able to elevate my game, on and off the court.

I’m  still  hoopin’.  Its  off  season,  but  I’m  still  stayin’  fit,  sexy  and  healthy.  Gotta  make  them  abs  POP!!  At   ALL  times.  Lol.  I’ve  started  a  NEW  blog  called,  “LeXXah  Drew  Blog  Baby”,  everybody  whose  reading  this,   should go and check it out. You get a little bit of everything on there from sports talk, music talk, songwriting and production talk, my visual art and videos, my NEW “AWE  Steppin’  1  On  1”  Videos,   Motivational talk, poetry, my new comic book, etc.  I  could  keep  it  going.  But  see  for  yourself.  I  don’t  like   telling, I wanna show you. Just click the link, www.lexxahdrew.wordpress.com

As far as the music, my focus has been on songwriting, vocal production, vocal arranging and reference vocals.  I’ve  been  preparing  for  the upcoming 1st quarter,  to  place  these  songs  and  I’ve  been  enjoying  the   journey. My team (the Alexis Wilson Song Factory LLC.) and I have been writing for both male and female artists in many genres doing what we do best, perfecting our craft.

My mode for this year has been if I think it, let me activate it and I just do it like Nike and make it stellar. One of the main goals is in everything that I do stand out, be unique and be clever from marketing, promoting to image and overall presentation.  That’s  the  only  way  you’ll  get  anywhere  in  this  world  in  a big way.

Lets talk about politics. How do you feel about President Obama's re-election?

I feel good. I am a Georgia Voter and I do have my voting sticker. And yes, I did vote for Barack Obama. This election was very important. This election was literally about the 10% rich abusing their power even more and the conditions of the middle class and lower getting worse, plain & simple. It was a battle of the class. I thank God that Obama was re-elected, it was close. Obama is clearly for the people, the masses, the well-being of the country for the most part. A good leader looks out for the flock, not just 10% of the flock. This election has allowed people to see more intimately the true colors of people in power who have the money to have a voice in how this country operates. Corporations should not run the country.  If  Obama  wasn’t  in  office,  déjà  vu  slavery  is  what  we  would  be  looking  at  right  now.  Also, for those people who think racism does not exist, I hope that after the election it was reiterated to you that

it is very much alive! Just wanted to point that out. I could say more about this question, but I think I will stop  there.  Politics  can  get  too  crazy,  but  the  right  man  is  in  office.  There  is  much  to  be  done,  so  I’m   definitely praying for him. He definitely has a lot on his hands just dealing with congress alone, not to mention those that have who jacked up the country in the first place and are now being told to help clean it up. Lol. That to me, is quite fair and they can afford it compared to those who are living check to check.  Aight,  I’m  finished  and I’m  still  smiling.

Do you believe in love at first site? What is the perfect soul mate for you?

Awee man, you switched it up to love!!!!!!!!! Yea, I believe in love at first site, not for myself, but for someone  else.  That’s  really  not  my  style.   Now,  I  hope  you’re  not  setting  me  up  for  a  matchmaker  interview.  The  perfect  soulmate  for  me,  just   being  honest,  doesn’t  exist.  Perfect  isn’t  realistic  its  more  of  a  fantasy  or  something  you  dream  about.  I   think its moreso about accepting a man for his imperfections eclusing of course, his desire to get better. Neither of us are perfect, but the bond and connection between us is strong. Where he is weak I am strong  and  vise  versa.  Definitely  the  foundation  should  be  agape’,  friendship  and  love  (physical  attributes:   caring, respect, trust, loyalty etc.) But definitely a solid soulmate for me would be a man with vision, intellect  and  imagination.  And  it  wouldn’t  hurt  for  him  to  know  how  to  play  &  talk  basketball, football, tennis, weightlift,  swim  etc.  I  love  sports,  no,  I  really  love  sports.  That’s  definitely  mandatory.  Aight,  I’m   finished with that!!

What is your favorite Sunday meal?

I  don’t  think  this  is  a  fair  question.  Shooo,  ribs,  cornbread,  barbeque  baked  beans,  green  beans  and   mustard potato salad.  That’s  one.  Spicey  baked  chicken  wings  and  pancakes.  That’s  two.  And  to  keep  it   short  and  sweet  Imma  add  Popeyes  and  the  Chessecake  Factory.  Aight,  I’m  done.

What is your favorite color and why?

Interesting  that  you  ask  this  because  my  favorite  color  is  any  color  but  pink.  I’m  a  visual  artist  so  I  can answer this question like this. I despise the color pink though. Lol.

What projects are you currently working on?

I’m  working  with  some  really  good  producers,  writing  some  stellar  lyrics/hooks/full songs to their tracks along with my writing team.

I’m  working  on  my  NEW  “AWE  Steppin’  1  On  1”  Videos  that  are  soon  to  come  out.  I  am  re-teaching old steps  and  teaching  new  ones.  I’m  pretty  excited  about  that.  Steppin’  fans  have  been  putting  in  special   requests. You can hit up the old videos at www.youtube.com/user/AweAlexisWilson

I’m  working  on  my  NEW  comic  book and new superhero based  off  of  me.  It  is  called,  “LeXXah  Drew,  the   7th Drew  Supreme” You can check out the actual comic on my songwriting music page at www.facebook.com/LeXXahDrew, Also, you can hit up the intro video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BP3A8ocWJXI&feature=plcp, the comic book series, character development, storyline and illustrations are authored and illustrated by me. I hope all who are reading enjoy it and will follow it. It is rated E for Everyone!

I’m working on promoting one of my newest projects, my mixtape, which I just finished and posted on the internet. It is called, “Show It On Tha Mic” LeXXtape. Its an acapella stellar vocal mixtape that I believe has never really been done before. Its very unique because most mixtapes you hear, if not all, have music tracks. I decided to give my LeXXtape a unique twist. After all, vocals are an instrument. Many people forget that and take for granted the qualities of true vocalists who can really rock it on tha mic. I’m cold at what I do, confidence not cockiness. Please everyone, go and check it out and

DOWNLOAD my LeXXtape. It is AVAILABLE on Datpiff @ http://www.datpiff.com/LeXXah-Drew-Show-It- On-Tha-Mic-Acapella-LeXXtape-by-LeXXah-Dr-mixtape.324476.html, or you can DOWNLOAD it on my Reverbnation page @ www.reverbnation.com/LeXXahDrew. I have a few familiar songs on there as well as originals.

I’m working on 3 NEW Visual Art concentrations, a Nude Series, A Love Vs. Lust Series and a Sports series in which I don’t yet have the name of just yet, but I am confident it will come. If you have peeped by now, I utilize all my gifts. I try not to play favoritism with any of them. God has Blessed me tremendously with them, so I have to use them. I do sell my artwork. I do custom pieces as well, working in mediums that aren’t as popular as the usual suspect mediums like acrylic and watercolor paint. That is going well, but it is a marathon. You can check out my skillz on canvas on my visual art page, www.facebook.com/AlexisLRVisualArtist I also have mini documentary videos with a few of the art pieces I have drawn that talk about the process in which I took to arrive at the finished piece.

So, this is what all I’m currently working on. I have a lot going on and yes its challenging, but I love it.

What inspired these projects to begin?

I am always creating, coming up with new concepts and tactics and ventures to do to occupy and utilize my talents. I’m always inspired. Its just who I am. I look at myself as a walking inspiration to myself. And anything that is uplifting to the Black community or mankind, is definitely an inspiration. There are so many things out here in this world that degrade a person/being everyday. I just want to be one of the few who do the opposite. The key is just making it Hot and easy to digest.

How can people contact you?

There are many ways to contact myself and my team. Any of my sites that I have listed above, people can definitely reach me through those avenues. For songwriting, visual art, graphics, printing, etc., just call 678.744.5396 and an agent of the Alexis Wilson Song Factory LLC., and/or Tinsley’s LeXarT LLC. Graphics & Printing will be available.

Any shoutouts?

Of course, a huge shout out to real love, God, Jesus, Kervin T., my family, friends, supporters and fans of what I do. The love and support is always appreciated and means a whole lot. More than you know.

Do you have any last words for the readers?

I just want to thank everyone who is reading this for taking out the time to get an exclusive 1 on 1 with LeXXah Drew. There isn’t a dull moment with me. I love what I do and I think you will as well once you are able to be a witness for yourself of what I do. I wanna show you. Here is where you can find me:
