Can you tell us about where you are from?
I come from a small city with BIG passionate dreams. I was born and raised in Louisville, KY—Home of The Greatest “Muhammad Ali.” Influenced by his strengths and courage, I keep it moving, I roll with the punches & I never give up. I’M FEARLESS.

What type of businesses are you in?
I’m a true experienced lyricist, emcee, radio host, and all-around entertainer. I’ve been writing lyrics since I was six years old and that became a music art for me along my childhood. I’ve successfully graduated from the University of Kentucky earning my Bachelors of Arts in Communications. My accomplishments from completing college, led me to hosting my own Radio Show & becoming a Motivational Speaker. I, now spend a lot of my long days & late nights following my music dreams, residing in Atlanta, Ga.

What goals are you working on?
I want to continue living my life full of purpose. I have a few projects lined up that I‘m working on. I normally keep my fans, friends, and family entertained by staying in the loop of dropping mixtapes, videos, and doing shows. However, my main goal is to inspire the world with my natural born talents and strive to empower females in this rap game. Musically, I tell stories, I make you feel my music, I express hip hop with meaning, and that’s a major goal I continuously work on to uplift today’s era. I’m truly focused on making a difference in this male dominant industry. #TEAMGIRLSHUSTLE2

What is a hustler?
I believe when I look myself in the mirror- I see an UNSTOPPABLE HUSTLER QUEEN. Hustling can be viewed in many perspectives because we all come from different backgrounds. You have to have the mindset, energy, and drive to create a hustle. Music happened to be the craft that lives through me which is why I’m determined to turn my dreams into reality. With a go-getter mentality and having the sense of urgency to grind, you become consistent to building your own legacy. I’m just a young queen trying to make it.

Any shoutouts?
Shout out to my awesome God, who is most relevant, authentic, and inspiring. My Cadets- fans, family, friends, and the whole Ashley J support team, I love you guys sincerely. Shout out to any media sources, DJs, bloggers, artists, directors, mentors, photographers, stylist, MUA, etc. I appreciate you so much. THANK YOU.

What's a week in your life like?
It’s an unstoppable move living my lifestyle, so you’re not just living a life; you’re manifesting on fulfilling your dreams every day of the week. The grind never stops; sometimes it’s not even enough time in the day, to get a lot of what I push to get done. Working my 9 to 5 is a way to keep my survival on top of the line, that’s key, especially when you have family to feed and a nice big chunk of bills that don’t pay for themselves. I love to work but that’s just my independence of being built from the ground up. You’ll find that growth comes from living your dreams day in and day out, when you’re a perfectionist like me.

What is your definition of hip hop?
Hip hop is a #CULTURE that represents #ELEMENTS. I describe hip hop elements as rapping, djing, graffiti, and breakdancing. When I define Hip Hop, I visualize some of the greatest rappers of all time such as; Notorious B.I.G, MC Lyte, 2Pac, & Lauryn Hill. Those particular artists stood their ground on making Hip Hop a foundation which has influenced me to the same. Their foundation of paving the wave gives artist like me a chance to keep the real sounds of HIP HOP alive. It’s the knowledge & character of music that will take you to another level. I AM HIP HOP.

What is one word that describes you?
#OPTIMISTIC
