What is your name and where are you from? Akilah Chopfield. Richmond, VA

How did you get into screenwriting and poetry? I always loved writing so it was a natural evolution of trying my hand at different forms of writing. 

How has all of your traveling played a part in your original creativity? I think traveling definitely helps inform some of my creativity. Meeting new people and experiencing new things give you more to write about.

What is the yoga life like? I can't say what yoga life is like..its just life. I enjoy practice of yoga for balance and its health benefits. 

What is a hustler? A hustler is a person that goes out and gets what they want.
What do you want to see changed in your community? I would like to see police brutality looked at as a punishable crime. Specifically, for black people, but across the board. It needs to be known that if you use excessive for your freedom and livelihood are now in danger. It would make bad cops think twice. 

What inspired your web series and what is next for you? The webseries was born out of a real life situation a friend of mine went through. I laughed as she told me about it and was approached by my producing partner to do a webseries. This was new to me but I thought the this idea could fit that short format.

Any last words or shout outs? Last words- thank you to every teacher I have had beginning with my parents, formal and informal who have inspired and encouraged me along the way.
